About the Role
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Site Manager ready to take full ownership of a high-quality childcare new build project valued at $3.2 million—starting within the next two weeks. The build includes both structural and civil components (including bulk and detailed earthworks), offering you variety and challenge on site.

You’ll be overseeing all site activities from start to finish, managing subcontractors, maintaining compliance with the BCA, and ensuring the smooth delivery of the project on time and within budget.

This role is ideally suited to someone with broad technical knowledge—structural, carpentry, joinery, and fit-out experience—and a track record of successful delivery on commercial new builds over $2 million, particularly in the Newcastle or Hunter region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage construction programs
  • Ensure strict adherence to BCA and WHS regulations
  • Oversee site establishment, testing, and inspections
  • Lead subcontractor inductions and daily operations
  • Maintain detailed reporting and communication with stakeholders
  • Deliver high-quality outcomes with a solutions-focused mindset

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience in a Site Manager role on similar commercial projects
  • Trade qualified in Carpentry
  • Strong leadership, delegation, and communication skills
  • A hands-on, “lead from the front” attitude
  • Calm under pressure with a positive, can-do approach
